Colorado turns 150 this year — and we're marking it with the biggest cinematic celebration the state has ever seen. 150 films. 150 screenings. Historic venues from the mountains to the plains. Watched together, in person, the way movies are meant to be seen.
The CO150 Film Festival is a collection of the best cinema ever made in Colorado, about Colorado, or by Coloradans — past and present. It's a once-in-a-lifetime celebration. And it's a genuinely good excuse to get off the couch.

More than a movie night

More than a

A lot has changed in Colorado. New faces, new towns, new pressures. In a moment when those changes have left many Coloradans feeling disconnected, the CO150 is a chance to come back together.
The idea is simple: sit side by side with neighbors, old friends, and new ones, and watch great films in great places. Long-timers can reminisce. Newcomers can get to know their communities better. Everyone gets a memorable night on the town — and a deeper sense of home.
By connecting iconic films to the places and people that made and inspired them, we get to see our home state in a new light. That's the real point. That's the Colorado story

SPRING 2026
You pick the films.
This spring, Coloradans get to be part of history. Film lovers across the state will vote to decide the top 150 Colorado-connected films — and together, we'll build a Colorado Film Hall of Fame. Once the votes are in, we'll release the full list publicly alongside stories, trailers, and content from each film's original release.
SUMMER & FALL 2026
We take them to the big screen.
Running June through October, a network of regional partners will bring these films to life at venues across the state. Speakers, artists, local experts, and community businesses will join each screening — connecting the stories on screen to the communities watching them.
